We offer individual overnight and daytime retreats for Licensed Clergy, Clergy with Permission to Officiate (PTO) and Licensed Lay Ministers in the Diocese of Norwich.
We have a self contained annexe for you to enjoy a time of individual retreat, which includes a single bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and kitchen. You will also have access to our small library and the Chapel during your stay.
The annexe looks out onto a garden with views of the surrounding fields. It is a tranquil space to enjoy in the peace and quiet of the Broadland countryside. Whilst you are on retreat we do not have any other guests at Grove Barns.
The retreat is self catering. However, you are welcome to join the Sisters for lunch during your stay. This is a main meal and we do not have silent mealtimes. Alternatively we can bring a lunch tray to you. We provide basic foods and drinks in the annexe and you are also welcome to bring your own food.
You are welcome to join us for worship throughout the day;
7.15am – Morning Prayer
12pm – Midday Prayer
5pm – Evening Prayer
However, your time on retreat is your own and there are no expectations.
You can enjoy our garden and there are local walks from the house.
We offer a maximum of 3 nights per stay.
There are no charges but donations are accepted.
Please note that the annexe is not wheelchair accessible and there are small steps in and out of the annexe. The bathroom has a bath and no shower.
