The book we use for Mass is the same as Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral, which changes with the season and readings are from various sources.

We use our own Office book with traditional chant/music, and various hymns. It varies according to Seasons, Saints days, festivals and other events.
Sisters may be able to offer spiritual direction. Otherwise please contact our Diocesan Spirituality Adviser Rev Dr Ruth Tuschling who can help further.
Generally the first Sunday of the Month: at 2.30pm – followed by Tea.
An informal discussion group, generally meeting on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month. Commences 7.30pm and ends with Compline at 8.30pm. Please check here for dates.
The Julian Meetings foster the teaching and practice of contemplative prayer in the Christian tradition as well as encouraging people to practice contemplative prayer in their daily lives, exploring ways of doing this which are appropriate for them.
Julian Meetings are generally held at The House of Bethany on the:
- 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, 10.15-11.15 am
- 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month, 2.00-2.45 pm
Please check here for dates. Please arrive 15 minutes early for meditation in the Chapel. Meditation will be followed by Coffee.
The House of Bethany is open for tea every Saturday at 4.00pm. Please feel free to stay for Vespers at 5.00pm.
