Follow A3 from London, onto A3(M)

follow signs for A27 Portsmouth/Southampton
get into middle lane as first lane is for Eastern Road (A3020);
continue past 1st route into Southsea which is Eastern Road,
continue past 2nd route into Portsmouth/Southsea which is Fratton Road

keep in inside lane, which goes round to the left,
and follow signs for Portsmouth/Ferry M275
after "Sails of the South" get into middle lane as going over the Flyover,
then back into left-hand lane
when possible, go into next left-hand lane
when possible again, go into next left-hand lane
(one is a feed-in lane, the other a bus lane)
End of M275.
(O = roundabout)
O first exit, left‹, ignore 2 small roads and follow road (Church Street)
round to next O (All Saints Church on second corner)
O 2nd exit Holbrook Road
next O straight over, still Holbrook Road ('Total' Garage on left)
O 2nd exit, (straight over) Victoria Road South
follow road down to traffic lights
Traffic lights (Elm Grove) - straight over
take 4th road on right Merton Road / or next is Nelson Road
7 Nelson Road is on corner of X roads

Follow A3 from London, onto A3(M)

follow signs for A27 Portsmouth/Southampton

Keep in inside lane, take first exit for Southsea (A3020) Eastern Road
Follow road down (about 2 miles) - several traffic lights
At bend in road, inn on corner, and traffic lights,
continue to follow road round to the right, after approx 100 yards
Major traffic lights with filter:
keep in middle lane and go straight over (Milton Cemetery is on right, and
signpost says to bear right for St Mary's Hospital/Kingston Prison)
Follow this road, to a small O and bear left;
another mini-roundabout and go straight over (Kentucky Fried Chicken on Right)
T-junction with O:
turn right onto Goldsmith Avenue
At end of Goldsmith Avenue, large O with Fratton Station on right, go straight over
(although it bears slightly to the left)
After about 50 yards, another large O, turn left onto Victoria Road South
(Mosque is on opposite/left corner)
Follow this road, which has an 'S' bend until get to Elm Grove Traffic lights
Traffic lights (Elm Grove) - straight over
take 4th road on right Merton Road / or next is Nelson Road
7 Nelson Road is on corner of X roads; use main entrance in Nelson Road

directions to ask for: either Palmerston Road Precinct/ St Judes' Church
or: St John's College, Elm Grove South

Walk out of Station to the Main road (Fratton Road), turn right to first bus stop (a little walk)

. 6 . . Osborne Road: ask for Debenhams, Palmeston Precinct (and walk through)

1A / 1C . . 23 . . 40 . .Clarence Pier to Friendship House every 10 minutes

40 . . South Parade Pier to Grove Road South

from Friendship House, walk down Grove Road South. Nelson Road is towards Palmerston Shopping Precinct on the left, turn left into Nelson Road and walk to the crossroads of Merton Road and Nelson Road
