The Society of the Sisters of Bethany is a religious Order for women within the Anglican Communion. Founded in 1866 we were the first Order within the Communion to offer retreats for women. We follow the Rule of St Augustine in the form modified by St Francis de Sales and St Jane Frances de Chantal.
We are a group of women who feel called by God to live as a family in Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, under the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.

Norfolk House
We are a place of prayer, hospitality and welcome.
Two Sisters are resident in Moulton St Mary, a small village within the Broadland district. It is the first time the Order has established a community house in East Anglia.
We offer daytime retreats sessions open to all locally on a variety of themes.
We also support clergy and ministers within the diocese, offering residential and daytime retreats. Also offering daytime retreats for ministry teams.
